With Mother’s Day fast approaching, it is the perfect time to show our wonderful mums just how much we appreciate them for all they do.
When we were little, we didn’t always understand all the day-to-day things, large and small, that our mum did for us. She fed us, comforted us, gave us advice, taught us endless lessons, and made sure that we were always taken care of. As the years fly by, no matter how old we turn, there will always be special ways that we can give back to our mums and express our love, especially on Mother’s Day. From getting her a thoughtful gift, to letting her have a night off cooking or giving her a good ol' hand written card, let's make our mum's feel extra special this Mother's Day.
We asked a variety of people why they love their mums and we couldn’t help but share their heart warming thoughts:
“Mummy is my best friend, I love my mummy because my mummy loves me.”
Nathaniel, 3 years old.
“We go out heaps together, like we go out shopping and just hang out. Sometimes she lets me get ice cream”.
Jade, 8 years old.
“My mum is the most thoughtful and caring person I know, she always goes above and beyond to give me the best opportunities, support and life I could possibly have.”
Brittany, 23 years old.
"My mum is so incredibly caring, generous, selfless and thoughtful. Nothing is ever too hard or too much, and she does everything with a smile. Everyday, she continues to inspire me and I hope that one day I am the kind of mum she is."
Elena, 27 years old.
“My mum is super fun, elegant and talented. Most of all, she is my idol and inspiration.”
Jane, 35 years old.
The seemingly smallest gestures from our mums can make the biggest impact in the lives of their children. As we grow older, we begin to realise there will never be enough ways to say thank you. No matter what we need, mums will always be there and that’s why we love them so much!
